about us

Paris-based bvh type was established in 2022 by Swiss typographer/type designer André Baldinger and German graphic designer Toan Vu-Huu as an extension of their design studio, baldinger•vu-huu. Original, singular, and contemporary typefaces are our mark, including special glyphs we like to have in our daily practice as designers in each type family we create. A strong conceptional idea combined with its specific formal repertoire is our leitmotif. Each typeface is first used and extensively tested in at least one of our design projects. We are our toughest beta testers before the families go public. Some of the typefaces that started as custom fonts are now available to a larger design community.
